Recipe Barbecued Asian Inspired Shrimp
Recipe Asian Inspired Barbecue Shrimp
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk together the garlic, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the shrimp onto skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Optional: Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice for an extra burst of flavor.
